Tywanna (Good) Smith

Tywanna Smith, 70, of Tazewell, TN went to be with the Lord on October 27, 2023, peacefully in her sleep. Born October 9, 1953 to Riley and Maude Good, Tywanna was a loving, caring mother and Nana, who really enjoyed singing and playing piano. Known by Miss Smith to many, she was a dedicated teacher, which allowed her to pass her love for music on to so many students at Yellow Creek School in Middlesboro, Kentucky. She loved her students and was always so thrilled to hear that former students were playing in churches. 

While music was her love, her passion was truly her family! Tywanna loved her children and grandchildren. From spending hours in the floor playing with them, taking trips to the park, movie nights with popcorn and ice cream and even many late night runs to Taco Bell she enjoyed every moment she spent with them. 

Tywanna is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Desiree and Aaron Doyle; son and daughter-in-law, Sheaffer and Rachel Smith, grandchildren, Dallas Doyle, Mallie Doyle, Micah Smith and Oliver Smith and soul-sisters, Eva Potter and Carolyn Massengill and many friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday November 3, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with funeral services to follow at 7:00 PM in the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Rev. Chad Burdette and Rev. Conrad Auel.   The music will be by Desiree Doyle. 

Burial will be at 12:00 PM Friday, November 3, 2023, at Good Family Cemetery at Sugar Run, KY. 

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate monetary donations be sent to the funeral home or to Yellow Creek Elementary School to purchase Christmas gifts for students at Yellow Creek Elementary School, Middlesboro.
