Riley "RC" Calloway Thacker

Mr. Riley Calloway “RC” Thacker, age 74 of Sharps Chapel, Tennessee, passed away on October 17, 2020 at Claiborne Medical Center in Tazewell. He was born March 30, 1946, son of John W. and Maggie (Bryant) Thacker, who preceded him in death. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Deidra Thacker; great grandson, Jaden Thacker; brothers, Glenn Thacker and Eugene Thacker; infant sister, Joyce Thacker; father and mother-in-law. James “Bud” and Geneva Crigger; sisters-in-law, Donna Wade, Martha Thacker, and Katherine (Thacker) Rowland. RC was saved in 1964, and joined Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Tipprell, Tennessee.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Thacker; daughter, Lisa Thacker; granddaughters, Fallon Thacker, Farron Laws, and Erica Gibson; 7 great grandchildren; brothers, Don (Naomi) Thacker and Harold Thacker; sister, June (Richard) Blandin; sister-in-law, Robin (Rodney) Buckner; his beloved dog Peanut; along with several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and many friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 20, 2020 from 6PM until 8PM at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday in the Cottrell-Johnson Cemetery for 12 noon graveside services with Rev. Bobby Partin and Rev. Wilburn Guy officiating.
