Maggie Elizabeth Gulley age 76 of Harrogate, Tennessee, was born April 5th, 1946 and went to
be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at home with her loving husband by her side.
She was saved as a young woman at Peoples Missionary Baptist in Springfield, Ohio. She was a
member of Butchers Gap Missionary Baptist Church in Ewing, VA. Maggie married Ray Gulley on
December 14, 1962. The two were each other’s lifelong companions and friends. They were
blessed with three daughters. She was preceded in death by her parents: Woodrow and Cleva
Brown; brothers: Layford and Arbie; and sisters: Jean and Georgia. She is survived by her
husband of nearly 60 years, Ray Gulley; daughters: Kathleen Bays of Harrogate, TN, Amy
(Owen) Upton of New Tazewell, TN, Tammy (Larry) Berry of Speedwell, TN; sisters: Mildred,
Linda Faye, Jenny, Wilma, and Judy; grandchildren: Christopher (Melanie) Gilbert, Lindsey
Upton, Brandi (Dylan) Swann, Mandi and Chelsey Bays, Emily Berry, as well as great-
grandchildren.
We appreciate and truly thank each and every one of you from the bottom of our hearts who
lifted up our precious wife and mother in prayer and who have done anything in any way to
help our family during this difficult time. We love you and may God bless you all.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM in the Mountainview Cemetery with K.J. Zumbrum and Kevin Turner officiating. Music will be provided by the Butchers Gap Church Singers.
