Laura Ayers

Mrs. Laura Ayers, age 72 of New Tazewell, TN went to be with her Lord and Saviour on April 23, 2022 at 4:45 a.m. Laura was saved at age 40 and was a member of Butcher’s Gap Baptist Church. She was a loving housewife and THE BEST Nan Nan any kid could ask for. She raised more kids than you could count. Anyone who knew Laura knew that she truly was one of a kind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Apsy and Mary Pace, John Luster and Sarah Fransis Ayers, oldest daughter; Patsy Yoakum, brothers; Bill and Sue Pace, Ted and Olia Pace, sisters; Nila and Richard Fultz, Charlotte and Wesley Green, Roy and Ethel Pace, Latona Faye Pace, nieces; Linda Gail Brooks, Vivian Faye Drummonds and great nephew; Richie Joe Rouse.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years; Franklin Carter Ayers, children; Pamela and Lonnie Johnson, Timmy and Deborah Ayers, Connie Partin and David Singleton, grandchildren; Laura Marie Giles and fiancée Joshua Graves, Timothy Justin Ayers, Victor Allen Ayers, Jaxon Carter Mayes, Louise Yoakum, Shaina Gregg, great grandchildren; Alyana Grace Giles, Khaleesi Sky Graves, Allison Lashae, Eleseana Nicole, Shakira Goins, brother; Billy Wayne Pace and wife Vernia, special nieces; Eula Tatman, Rebecca Lowe, Rose Johnson and Patsy Short, Jerry and Peggy Fultz. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and a host of other loving family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 25, 2022 from 11AM until 2PM with funeral services to follow at 2PM in the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Rev. K.J. Zumbrum officiating. Obituary will be read by Ron Ayers and music will be provided by Mary Zumbrum. Burial will follow in the Adams Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
