Josephine Patterson

Josephine Mary Patterson, age 87 of New Tazewell, TN was born January 1, 1933 and passed away November 19, 2020 at the Claiborne Medical Center. She was saved at an early age and baptized at Town Creek. Josephine strongly believed in the Lord and served Him daily. She was honored and very proud to be a part of a 5 generation family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; William T. and Sarah (Wright) Duncan, the father of her children; Calvin Patterson, infant son; Darrell Patterson, grandson; Matthew Patterson, brothers; John Duncan and Rev. Ralph Duncan, daughter-in-law; Mary Ann Patterson and special sister-in-law; Louise Duncan.

She is survived by her children; Randy Patterson, David Patterson, Gary Patterson and wife Terri, Donna Patterson, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. She is also survived by her loving church family and a host of other relatives, neighbors, and friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 5PM until 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM at Red Hill Baptist Church with Rev. J.D. Estep and Rev. Gary Mundy officiating. Music will be provided by David Evans, John and Betty Dyer. Graveside services will be conducted 11AM Monday in the Red Hill Cemetery.
