James Edward “Jim” Weaver, age 66 of Speedwell, TN was born March 11, 1957 and passed away peacefully at his home November 7, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was an awesome husband, father, granddaddy, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Jim never met a stranger and to know him was to love him. His sense of humor can never be forgotten. Jim was a member of Gibson Station Primitive Baptist Church in Ewing, VA.
He was preceded in death by his father; Walter Weaver, grandparents, several aunts and uncles.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 45 years; Sandra. Daughters; Elizabeth (Larry), Tracy (Josh), Ashley (John), Lexie and his son, Colby. Four grandchildren; Abby, Issiah, Olivia, and Josie. Mother; Ramona Weaver, sister; Ann Weaver, brothers; Robert (Linda) and Johnny (Madeline) Weaver. Father-in-law and mother-in-law; Claude and Shirley Sandifur. He is also survived by a host of other loving relatives, friends and neighbors who will miss him terribly.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Andrew Ayers and Suncrest Hospice for the excellent care they provided for Jim.
The family will receive friend Thursday, November 9, 2023 from 6PM until 8PM with funeral services to follow at 8PM in the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Rev. Mike Padgett officiating. Obituary will be read by Rev. Scott Bullins.
Private graveside services will be conducted in the Kibert Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers for “Papa Jim” will be the Powell Valley Middle School Boys and Girls Basketball Teams.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
