Glady Young Obituary

Glady June Young, 84 was born on January 15, 1936 in Ewing, Virginia. She was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church since she was 18 years of age and had worked at F.W. Woolworth’s for 22 years and then for DeRoyal Industries. The Lord called Glady home on August 1, 2020, where she joined her parents, the late Campbell and Sarah Daniels Young.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Sewell, Claude and Paul Young; sisters, Ada and Oma Young, Nellie Brooks, Lola Seabolt and Opal Sutton; and nephews, Clarence Brooks, Larry Seabolt and Gary Young.

Survivors include her nephew, Roger Young and wife, Lois; and their children, Jason (Kelley) Young, their children, Noah and Adon of New Hill, NC, John (Elizabeth) Young, their daughter, Libby of Phenix City, AL, and Meghan Young of Rose Hill, VA; nieces, Cathy Pauley, and husband Fred of Rose Hill, VA and Georgia Hurst and Jason Bowman of Harrogate, TN; great-nephew, Joe Young and daughter, Taylor Creech of Middlesboro, KY; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 3, 2020 at the Red Hill Chapel Cemetery at Forge Ridge with Rev. George Walker officiating. Music will be by Fred Pauley.
