Freddie Carey, age 69 of Speedwell, TN was born February 1, 1951 and passed away Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Freddie was saved around the age of 65. He was an avid fisherman and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Fred and Viola (Jessie) Carey, sisters; Sarah, Lois, Margaret, Pearlie and Eva Mae.
He is survived by his children; Jessica Williams and husband Jason of Rocky Top, TN, Travis Carey and wife Kim of Cumberland Gap, TN, grandchildren; Kayla, Hayden, and Madison Carey and Haley, Josh, and Cayden Williams, great grandson; Kolton Owens, brother; Bill Carey and wife Doris of Speedwell, TN, sisters; Hazel Carey of Speedwell, TN, Carolyn Williford of Speedwell, TN. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 13, 2020 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM with funeral services to follow at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Rev. Jason Williams and Rev. Dewayne Byrd officiating. Music will be by Rev. Dewayne and Theresa Byrd. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, September 14, 2020 in the Flatwoods Cemetery. Pallbearers are David Lambert, Ethan Lambert, Johnny Lambert, Arlin Lambert, Jeff Ball and Jeremy Williams with his grandchildren serving as Honorary Pallbearers.
