Mr. Darrell Wayne Ramsey, age 63, of Tazewell, TN was born March 9, 1959 and passed away peacefully February 26, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. He was a faithful member of Riverside Missionary Baptist where he also served as a deacon for 22 years. Darrell was employed as an over the road truck driver for 25 years. He loved his job, working on lawn mowers but above all, he loved the Lord and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Lunie and Ina (Daniels) Ramsey, step father; Argil Massengill, sisters; Donna Ramsey Gulley and Dian Ramsey.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years; Ruby Ramsey, children; Eddie Ramsey and wife Hollie, Nikki Ramsey, grandchildren; Bethanie Jones and husband Dylan, Alexis Daniels, Hunter Newcomb, Katy Ramsey, Hannah Daniels, Ashlee Petty, Logan Daniels and Ryker Ramsey, great granddaughter; Octavia Jones and one grandson on the way. He is also survived by his brother-in-law; Lavon Gulley, several nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 12 Noon until 2PM with funeral services to follow at 2PM at the Riverside Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Longworth officiating. Obituary reading by Audy Atkins and music will be provided by Brenda Longworth, Lavon Gulley and Family. Burial will follow in the Cave Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Audy Atkins, Rick Keck, Hunter Newcomb, Ronnie Simpson, Jeff Simpson, Brandon Goins, Clyde McDowell and Johnny Ramsey.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
