Mr. Billy Ray Hatfield age 78 of Speedwell, Tennessee passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville. He was born on April 9, 1940 to the late William Evert and Pearl Amy (Seal) Hatfield. Mr. Hatfield was a saved, born again Christian man who loved God with all his heart. He had operated the Hillbilly Sawmill since 1973 and enjoyed farming as well as working with his Farmall tractors.
He was preceded in death by his parents; William Evert and Pearl Amy (Seal) Hatfield, and one infant brother.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years; Louanna (Jessie) Hatfield, daughters; Amy Fay Hatfield and Travis Sutton, Billie Ann Hatfield Evans and husband David, grandchildren; Brock Sutton, Bryce Sutton, Ember and Jarrod Dotson, Preston Evans, Kyle Evans, Elizabeth and Zach Marcum, sisters; Wilma Hatfield Lynch and Lois Hatfield Edwards along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many other loving relatives, neighbors, and friends.
The family will receive friends Friday, March 15, 2019 from 3:30 PM until the funeral hour of 7PM at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Rev. Gary Mundy officiating. Eulogy will be provided by Charlotte Fawver and music will be provided by Kris Powers Wilburn.
Family and friends will meet on Saturday at 11:30AM at Hillbilly’s Sawmill to go in procession to Town Creek Cemetery for graveside services.
