Raymond Clayton Patterson

Raymond Clayton Patterson, age 73 of Knoxville, TN formerly of Claiborne County, passed away October 5, 2019 after a second battle with cancer. He was born on June 17, 1946 to the late George “Doc” and Beatrice (Keck) Patterson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a number of family members.

He will be greatly missed by his wife and soulmate; Kathie (Depew) Patterson, of Knoxville, TN, Children; Shelley (Tommy) Haun, Jason (Karrie) Patterson, Jessica (Michael) Headrick all of Knoxville, TN, Kortnee (Jimmy) Towe of Cartersville, GA, grandchildren; Alexandra Haun of Kingsport, TN, Taylor and Parker Haun of Knoxville, TN, Alyssa Patterson of Orlando, FL, Charlie Patterson of Knoxville, TN, Bianca Newman of Knoxville, TN, Bjorn Headrick of Knoxville, TN, Grayson Towe of Cartersville, GA, sisters; Joyce Crawford of Owensboro, KY, Debra (Todd) Minor of Cumberland Gap, TN, sisters-in-law; Glenda (Mike) Bussell of Tazewell, TN, Delilah McMurry of Tazewell, TN, Debbie Shelton of New Tazewell, TN, estranged daughter; Rebecca Roloff of Middlesboro, KY and her children; Morgan Senese of Nevada, Aleesha and Emily Hornsby of Florida, his trucking buddies; Bill (Alana) Krauser, Mike (Lisa) Anderson, several nieces, nephews, and a host of other loving relatives, neighbors and friends.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Tracy Dobbs and all of the nurses and staff at Tennessee Cancer Specialists for all of the concern, care, and compassion.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 9, 2019 from 5PM until 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM in the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with the Rev. Jeffrey Minor officiating. Music will be provided by Charlie and Shirley Dummitt.

Family and friends will meet at 11AM on Thursday, at the funeral home to go in procession to the Town Creek Cemetery for 12 noon graveside services.
