Sgt. Ivan W. Johnson

Sgt. Ivan Waldo Johnson age 75 of Speedwell, TN passed away Monday, April 8, 2019 at his home in Speedwell. Ivan was born on April 20, 1943. He was preceded in death by his wife Liftha Johnson and parents, Dennis Johnson & Leona Smith. Mr. Johnson is survived by his siblings Wanda Bailey, Deloras Rutledge, and Diane Cunningham, and Dennis Johnson all of West Virginia, sons Jesse Johnson of Speedwell, Robert Johnson of Powell, Michael Johnson of LaFollette, and his daughter Angela Johnson of Speedwell, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 12, 2019 from 6PM until 8PM at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel (Formerly Reece Funeral Home). Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 13th at 2 pm at Arnett and Steele Valley Chapel with Brother Vic Graves officiating.  Music will also be provided by Brother Vic Graves. Burial will follow in the Hill Cemetery with full military honors provided by Tri-County Veteran’s Honor Guard.  Pallbearers will include family and friends. Arnett and Steele Valley Chapel  is honored to be serving the family.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Arnett and Steele Valley Chapel to help with expenses.
