Jeanette Lorton Keck age 96, of Harrogate, TN was born October 1, 1921 in Fork Ridge, KY and passed away September 3, 2018 in Middlesboro, KY. Jeanette was a member of Harrogate First Baptist Church, Shawanee Order of Eastern Star, Nancy Hanks Club and the Harrogate Garden Club. She worked for many years and retired from J.C. Penny in Middlesboro. Jeanette was an artist who created beautiful quilts, wove oak and willow baskets, and enjoyed painting. She was preceded in death by her husband; Virgil Keck, parents; William and Clinnie Lorton, five brothers and their wives; Elmer and Lucille Lorton, Eskie and Violet Lorton, Estil and Jean Lorton, Ernest and Aloa Lorton, William and Pauline Lorton. She was also preceded in death by her dear sister-in-law; Willie Jean (Keck) Smith and best friend Wanda Susong. Survivors include her daughters; Sue Keck and Sandra Keck, both of Harrogate, TN and her devoted family of caretakers at the Middlesboro Nursing Facility.
Family and friends will meet Thursday, September 6, 2018 at 9:30 AM in the Harrogate Cemetery for Eastern Star Service and graveside service with Pastor Bill Duncan officiating.
