Janice Marie (Warf) Hounshell

Janice Marie Hounshell, 71, of Ewing, Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 17, 2018 at her home. She was born in Ewing on October 7, 1946 and was a daughter of the late C.N. and Mary Clonce Warf. Janice was a faithful member of the Faith Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harley Warf, Raymond Warf, Ronnie Warf and Dave Warf; and sister, Clara Mae "Louise" Warf Kelly.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Willis "Strawberry" Hounshell; son, Dwayne Hounshel and wife, Belinda; grandsons, Devin Hounshel, Logan Hounshel and girlfriend, Kenneddy "LittleBit", Steven Edds and wife, Brandi, Adam Edds and wife, Michaela; great-grandsons, Isaac and Elias Edds; brothers, Jerry Warf, Sonny Warf and wife, Sally, and Jimmy Warf; sisters, Sue Roberts and husband Zeke, and Patricia Burchett and husband, Kenny; special sister, Evanell Clonce; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be at 8:00 PM on Monday at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Rev. Bobby Partin, Rev. Justin Yeary and Rev. Brian Warf. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 1:45 PM on Tuesday to follow in procession to the Elydale Cemetery for graveside services. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Hounshel, Brandon Burchette, Dustin Rouse, Adam Edds, Logan Hounshel, Devin Hounshel and Zeke Roberts.
