George Hoskins, Jr.

Mr. George Hoskins Jr. age 90 of Cumberland Gap was born December 22, 1928 in Kettle Island, KY to the late Ollie and George Hoskins and passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Claiborne Medical Center.  He was a proud Veteran of WWII.  After being honorably discharged from the US Army George worked many years as a coal miner in Harlan, KY.  He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years; Anna J. (Reece) Hoskins, step-children; Phyllis Smith, Larry Smith and Donna Cody, 3 brothers; Covey Hoskins, Junior Hoskins and Boyd Hoskins, sister-in-law; Audrey Bloodworth, several grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Hoskins will be conducted Monday, March 25, 2019 at 7PM in the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Pastor Dee Fuson officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 25, 2019 from 5PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel. A private interment will be conducted in the Riverview Cemetery.
